The Preparatory Charter High School is a tuition-free, college preparatory schooling option for Philadelphia students in grades nine through twelve. Our mission is to promote a nurturing and challenging atmosphere where students will achieve high academic standards and develop essential career skills. We offer full support for English Language Learners,(ELL/ESL) and special education populations.

COLLEGE CONNECTION

Through a parternership with The Community College of Philadelphia, The Preparatory Charter School offers eligible senior students the opportunity to attend credit bearing college classes.

ATHLETIC CONNECTION

The Preparatory Charter School offers students an exciting array of athletic options.  The Preparatory Charter School competes within the Public League and adheres to PIAA standards.

CAREER CONNECTION

Through our Career Development Internship Program, student education is joined with skills acquired in a workplace enviornment.  Students are placed in various internship sites throughout Philadelphia.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Preparatory Charter School of Mathematics, Science, Technology and Career will provide a nurturing and challenging atmosphere in which students in grades nine through twelve will acquire the knowledge and experience they need to prepare them to become productive members of society. The Prep Charter High School will simultaneously help its students achieve high academic standards and develop essential career skills while giving them extensive experiences in service to their community. In this way, the Preparatory Charter High School will also serve to strengthen the Philadelphia community by deepening the commitment between the community and its young people.

ZERO-COST LUNCH PROGRAM

Healthy Options At No Cost To Students Or Families

The Preparatory High School is proud to offer our students a full service lunch program that provides healthy options in order to encourage a well balanced diet.

Every morning at 7:15AM students are invited to enjoy a nutritious breakfast in our school cafeteria. The Preparatory Charter High School recognizes the importance of starting the school day with a healthy diet, and we offer our students a variety of food options to start the day off right!


Our lunch program presents our students with five different lunch entrees every day. We provide vegetarian options, and every meal is balanced to contain a fruit, vegetable, and various drink options.
